Negotiating with friends...

It's an odd one this, I was planning on writing a piece on this, in fact I still will, but just thought I'd let you know that an interesting discussion looks like it's starting over on Young Entrepeneur's Journey

Please put any comments on this over there.

Ok, so we all know I'm a grumpy old man and I hate the world cup (too overated) but I have to hand it to The Get Rich Project for his/their/her interesting World cup charity cash in. I hold breath wondering if it will help.

Getting it up...and loving it.
Monday, June 19, 2006, 02:49 PM - Following the dream
It’s been a long time since I have properly updated my blog, but he whole reason for this blog is so that I could document life challenge to buy a Ferrari costing £100,000GBP. on the twenty fourth of October 2007. That will be my 26th birthday. For more information on the Ferrari Challenge I have set myself, check out Ferrari Challenge. I would not like you to think that I have been lazy in the last few months in fact it is unfair to say I’ve been lazy at all. I’ve spent my time working, working and a smattering of time down the gym in fact I have had no social life at all.

You may be wondering what I have been up to in these past few months then. Well I have been trying to sow the seeds of what I would like to take me all the way to complete my Ferrari challenge. Being an engineer by nature I have tried to take a methodical approach even if it means I feel like I am slipping behind schedule. I have had a good hard look at myself and see what I can dig up in order to make more money. That means I’ve been doing plenty of reading as research as I figured this is a good a place to start as any. Well I guess you might like to know the kind of things I’ve been reading up on…

Being "Internet Savvy" means much of my information has come from the internet and I have been lucky to stumble across some fairly amazing folks. My current favorite is Steve Pavlina and I would like to dedicate this post to him. He clearly spends a huge amount of his time thinking and writing articles on self development I’ve read many “self development” articles in my time and books on self development most of them just contain generic details on how to help yourself in a little bit and there is not much inspiring, or more specifically USEFUL AND APPLICEABLE information. Steve gives real good specifics on what is important and what to do to get on in life. Not only that, but he really practices what he preaches. Some of my favorite articles include How To Monetize a blog and How to give up coffee . Now that’s unlikely to happen for me right away, I live and die by the coffee, but a recent meeting with my Personal Trainer helped me out a fair bit. We agreed that for each coffee I drank, I would drink a glass of water, preferably a pint, straight after. It has done wonders for my health and almost completely eliminated the “post caffeine come down” that I would normally get a half an hour after a hit. Try it, it WILL work for you. My other key article is an excellent How To Become an Early Riser which I am putting to the test right now. It is essentially a mind conditioning exercise for the subconscious. I started last night, giving myself three repetitions before bed. Whilst I know that this morning is likely to be an exception as I was clearly anticipating the morning buzzer, no matter, it worked wonders and I was up at 5 am sharp. I love the fact I had 2 hours work under my belt before I even left for the office! Steve, you have given me two hours back of my life that I would have spent in bed, so a huge thank you goes your way. One day down, I’ll keep you all posted.
